CREATIVE HEALING

Only Marquette’s great outdoors had space for my big emotions and questions while navigating childhood trauma and undiagnosed autism. If you’ve been to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, you’ve experienced that pull. With countless opportunities to lose yourself in a forest, dance with waterfalls, and watch the sun disappear into the lake – the UP truly lets nature do the talking.

The Because Marquette series started as a way to heal my inner child, and grew into a way for us all to celebrate the child within us. To stay curious, keep creating, and to always be kind!  I’m alive and who I am today, because of Marquette. Now these designs help fund my project The Human Hangover, where I share the guidance given by Michigan’s woods, waters, and wildlife over the years. Thanks for supporting local and helping us bring mental health down to earth.
